Why would anyone like ponies? Let's find out!

TLDR:

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a slightly above average show, with one of the best soundtracks you can find, and with an awesome fanbase producing every kind of content
imaginable. Plus my manliness is strong enough to withstand looking at a group of colorful anthropomorphic ponies.

Let's start at the beginning

Back in 2017, while randomly scrolling youtube I've come across a video titled MLP S01 E01 (Part 1/5), and like most other people brushed it off. "Why? Why the hell would youtube reccomend me something like that... But I mean, I am bored and have nothing to do. Let's watch it and see how bad is it."

A rookie mistake, judging something based on the name and reputation. Once I clicked, I was immediatelly hooked. "A show for little girls, with an okay animation? Ok let's keep watching." And guess what, the story-line turned out to be really fun, even if a little cliche. Defeating someone with the power of friendship is not extremely original, but most shows aren't exactly creative in this manner either, as they usually resort to the power of will, or the power of being extremely mad. Or the classic over-powered heros.

So anyways, I kept watching until I finished the entire show, which was approximately 6 or 7 seasons at the time (the show lasted 9 in total), in a matter of weeks. A fun experience with an extraordinary soundtrack made by Daniel Ingram. The only other show that rivals MLP's quality when it comes to soundtrack is Phineas and Ferb, fight me.

But that is obviously not the end of my journey. During the same year I came across other clips of the show, but this time with a twist. There was a discord link in the description. "Huh, a place where I could meet another fans? Neat!"

And so I clicked, and joined the "server" (C'mon, it's called a guild even by Discord itself!). I had a really good time, and thanks to the people I've met on the platform, I discovered an entire new side of this pony thing. Fan content.

The best part is the community

You would not believe what bronies are capable of. Art, collaborations with the creators/voice actors of the show, animations, parodies, music, books, and so much more.

And before some intellectual says "Oh but bronies have commited 9/11, killed people, raped someone", all I have to say is, watch any Top 10 Serial Killers type of a video. Using the same logic, you should stop being a human. They are evil.

So by being a brony you get: A good show to enjoy, mountains of fan content, friends, and that's not where the benefits end. Telling someone that you are a brony is one of the best tests of someone's personality you will ever encounter. Self-proclaimed "gigachads" will tell you to die and block you, and the second group just won't care. You also don't have to tell anyone, just set a pony profile image and wait. Why bother talking to someone who cannot accept pastel ponies? These kinds of people are capable of hating you for buying a lamborghini of a wrong color.

With that, I think it's time to end this article. Hopefully I've shed some light on why would anyone like this show, or its fandom. In case you wish to meet the bronies, I will leave links to the most frequented chat rooms down bellow.
